Other Details to Note

We always wanted to have a place people could come to be refreshed, relax and reconnect to escape the daily grind and busy schedules. We found this abandoned property in October 2022 and finally finished the restoration in July 2024. We tried our best the capture the spirit and heart of the original owners, the Hubbard family (that's where we got the name The Hub). They built this dream home of theirs in the 1970's as a place where the family could gather, make memories and enjoy. We hope you will be making lots of memories here of your own!

Guest Access

The house and the 5 acres and trails and woods are for your enjoyment. Our family business, The Old Window Company, has a separate freestanding garage away from the house which we sometimes do shop work at. This does not bother guests in anyway, and when they are there it is only Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. We are excited to have plans in the future to offer classes to guests that want to learn how to restore and maintain their old windows too!

The location was perfect .. National Park and SUNY Geneseo. There was a good diner located at the corner. It’s was very clean and fresh. The game theme was tastefully done . It was alot of fun . We had so many opportunities to pause and chat and play and go over the “good times” . I was blown away by the Jane Austen books .. a personal favorite. The owners went above and beyond to create a warm welcome celebrating my son’s Graduation. Totally unexpected and truly appreciated.

I absolutely loved the attention to detail that went into the experience of this stay!! You could easily dub this a stay-cation accommodation from the standpoint that the house itself with all of its family entertainment potential is simple old fashioned fun!! My dad at 82 was heartily competitive with family foos ball games, toss across, perfection along with others! The design appeal of the house and bedrooms is charming! I will definitely book again if I travel out that way again.

The thoughtful and creative details are too many to name. We loved the design and all of the games available - not only board games, but also foosball, shuffle board, etc., etc. So much thought and care was put into absolutely everything. We felt encouraged to enjoy ourselves and have fun everywhere we looked. Nada!

Very close to Letchworth park. Very clean with tons of thoughtful touches. The hosts clearly put a lot of effort into making it an enjoyable stay. These are minor things, but we would have preferred less “stuff” on every surface. It made it hard to keep track of our own belongings. There was also a strong air freshener smell when we arrived but it faded. I’m sensitive to strong smells, so it may not bother others.

I love the board and traditional game theme of the house and the personalized rooms. Ours was chess, our family members had Clue and Scrabble! It's so cute. It's an inviting, comfortable space with a convenient diner for breakfast right there!

The place is absolutely outstanding. Comfort, decorations, things to do around the house, little details which make you want to stay there forever. photos do not reflect fully how special, beautiful and fun the place is. Everything was perfect.
